Premier decides school student travel remains free 22/12/2008

The NSW Premier announced yesterday that the School Student Travel Scheme will remain free. The announcement highlighted that the Co Payment, which was announced at the Mini Budget in November, was wrong and he said he would scrap the idea.

School Student Free Travel will be restored to what it was at the end of 2008, there will be no requirement for any families to pay for a bus pass in 2009.

Bus Passes for eligible students will be posted out in the couple of weeks prior to the start of the 2009 school year, applications for Free Travel are available from schools or from the Bus Company Office.
